A face and neck lift gives patients a smoother, more youthful and attractive appearance.
A face and neck lift gets rid of some of the effects of the aging process by removing excess skin and fatty tissue and correcting sagging facial muscles while maintaining a natural appearance.
The “classic” face-lift rejuvenates the face by targeting the temples, cheeks and neck. The forehead and eyebrows may also be lifted at the same time, and the procedure may also be combined with blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery.
Typically a short scar facelift is used for patients. Scars are minimal and involve only the front of the ear and temple regions as opposed to “classic” facelifts which also require a large incision behind the ear. Thus, the amount of scarring is much less. Liposuction is also done at the same time under the chin to provide a more youthful contour to the face and neck regions.

Blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, can refresh tired eyes and make you look younger by removing excess skin from the eyelids and the bags from under your eyes. It will correct heavy, wrinkled or baggy eyelids to rejuvenate your facial expressions.
One of the earlier signs of aging in the eyes is the sagging of eyebrows and a fullness or swelling of the upper eyelid skin.
Heavy or wrinkled eyelids may be a family trait or caused by aging. Baggy eyelids are caused by the normal fat pads around the eyes starting to protrude. The skin also loses some of its elasticity and contributes to a tired look.

Liposuction reshapes your body by removing unwanted excess fat deposits through suctioning. Liposuction will improve your figure and the fit of your clothes, aiding your whole appearance. Liposuction can be used to suck fat deposits from common trouble spots including the abdomen, thighs, upper arms, bottom, “love handles” and neck.
How does liposuction work?
In the adult body, there is a fixed number of fat cells. By sucking them away, liposuction can permanently remove these fat deposits. Liposuction can be performed under local anesthesia, local with intravenous medication or general anesthesia. Liposuction can normally be performed on an out-patient basis. The incision, or incisions if treating multiple areas, are only a few millimetres in length. Prior to the surgery, the doctor will inject the treatment area with a large volume of fluid to facilitate fat removal, reduce bruising and bleeding and anaesthetize the area. The surgeon will use a stainless steel tube, called a cannula, to remove fat deposits and rejuvenate your body. The length of the procedure will depend on the treatment area, or areas, and the type of cannula chosen. The procedure can be combined with abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) to further enhance the figure and remove any excess skin that remains after suctioning. Liposuction may also be complemented by Smartlipo, a laser technology that delivers energy directly to fat cells, causing them to rupture and drain away as liquid. It can reduce any unsightly pockets of skin left behind by liposuction. Its heating action also causes the skin to tighten and shrink more than regular liposuction.
How will I heal from my liposuction?
Swelling should disappear within six to eight weeks. When performed by a skilled surgeon, excellent long-term results can be achieved. Complications from liposuction are rare. Liposuction has been widely and safely performed in Canada for many years. A trained Plastic Surgeon will be able to conduct the procedure safely, sucking out the fat cells without breaking the attachments that tie the skin to deeper structures. Our surgeons are skilled Plastic Surgeons with surgical privileges at Mackenzie Health and Cortellucci Vaughan Hospitals. We will discuss the various shaping options with you to ensure you safely achieve a rejuvenated, more youthful figure.
When there is glandular and fatty tissue present, our Surgeons will excise, or remove by cutting, the excess tissue, fat and skin through an incision around the lower areola. The operation is performed under general anesthesia. In patients who are younger than 18, this surgery may be covered by OHIP. In older patients, the surgery is considered cosmetic.
In most cases, our Surgeons will also offer liposuction to tailor the result that surgery cannot achieve alone. The liposuction portion of the surgery is not covered by OHIP, regardless of patient age.

How will I heal from gynaecomastia reduction?
After a male breast reduction, most patients return to normal exercise within six to eight weeks, though healing times will vary depending on the extent of the procedure. It is extremely important not to exercise or do anything strenuous during this period as bleeding can easily occur post-operatively.
Patients must wear a post-operative garment or vest for 4 to 6 weeks after their surgery. This is important to achieve the best possible result.
The results of gynaecomastia reductions are normally permanent.
Our Surgeons will create a flatter, firmer and better-contoured chest to help restore your masculine shape and your confidence in your appearance.
